Sunday Scoop - Edition 51

Sunday Scoop - Edition 51

Hello!!

Madison here, founder and manager of all things at Little Sloans!! We’re heading into the last few hours of our 30% off discount code MERRY so get shopping! Use it on our Valentine’s, Rodeo, or even Sale collections!! We had the most fantastic Christmas at Disney, so I decided that this week’s Sunday Scoop would give you all the details to plan your own magical trip!! Without further ado, here are all the Disney tips and tricks!

-          First tip!! Use a travel agent! You do not pay for a travel agent – hotels pay for them, so if you’re using a Disney hotel, you will not have to pay anything on top for your Disney travel agent. We used Olivia Harris (her Instagram is _obviouslyolive_ or I can send you her email), and she planned not only our Disney trip, but also our Italy trip earlier this year, and she was amazing!! She did all the heavy lifting, and I hardly had to think about either trip. I would highly recommend her to all of you!

-          We stayed at the Polynesian, which is very convenient to the parks and allows you to ride Disney transportation everywhere. We didn’t even have to bring car seats! It was a super fun themed hotel with a great pool/splash pad. You get early entrance to the parks (which was amazing!) – we rode about 5 rides before the park opened to everyone else, and they were rides we would have had to wait in line for hours later! The only con (which is kind of a big con when you have small kids), is that Disney does fireworks every night, and two of the nights we were there, they were at 10 PM. Which meant that our kids either had to stay up until 10:15 PM or get woken up. I still think I would probably choose one of the three hotels on the monorail loop for convenience, but be forewarned that your kids/you will not sleep much. (Bring this travel sleepsound, and it will kind of help!!)

-          Our travel agent Olivia booked transportation for us both to and from the hotel, and we were also able to rent a Zoe stroller from them. I was excited to try the Zoe because I’ve always heard great things and love that you can make it into a triple or quadruple stroller. Let me just say, it was fine for a few days in Disney, but overall, I did not like this stroller at all! It was WAY harder to push than either our Uppababy Vista or our Bob Duallie Jogging Stroller. Like I said, totally fine for a few days, but if you’re looking at getting this stroller for personal use, I would not do it!

-          We went to Magic Kingdom the first day then Animal Kingdom and Epcot the second day. My kids’ favorite was Magic Kingdom by far, just because that’s where the most rides are!

-          If you have food allergies, don’t be afraid of Disney!!! My kids can’t have gluten, dairy, or soy, and they were still able to eat at the parks! Each restaurant has an allergy specialist who will let you know what’s safe. They even had Mickey waffles my kids could eat at the character breakfasts!!

-          Now onto the things I brought that were cute and/or helpful:

o   Boys’ shirts: this and this (my boys love Tigger, and I had a hard time finding a Tigger shirt!)

o   Hattie’s shirt: this (she also had a few personalized Little Sloans!)

o   Autograph book

o   Camera – I took a polaroid of them with each character we met, and I’m going to glue them into the autograph book next to their signatures!

o   Airtags and holders – better safe than sorry

o   Clickers – the only entertainment I brought for my kids (bold move on my part!), and they were surprisingly enamored with them!

o   Minnie and Mickey ears

o   Stroller hooks – I wasn’t sure what kind of stroller we would have and how much storage there would be. These turned out to be so helpful!!

That’s it for now! I’ll be back next weekend with more fun! As always, feel free to respond to this email with any questions, comments, or shout-outs!!

XO, Madison
