Sunday Scoop - Edition 43

Sunday Scoop - Edition 43

Hello!!

Madison here, founder and manager of all things at Little Sloans!! My husband and I just got back from a fabulous 10-year anniversary trip to Rome and Florence, and I wanted to share with you all the best clothes and products that we took! Without further ado, here are the items I’m loving, sharing, and adding to cart!

First things first: if you are going to Florence, get gelato at La Carraia and book dinner reservations at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco and Osteria Santo Spirito. These are recs from my sister, and they were amazing. If you’re going to Rome, book a dinner reservation at Flavio al Velavevodetto, and you MUST order the tiramisu (even if you don’t like tiramisu – it was that good).

Products/Gadgets

-          Portable phone charger – I actually never used this until we got back from Italy, but it’s so nice! It plugs straight into the wall (no extra cords) and tells you how charged the portable charger is so you’re not always charging it just to make sure it’s fully charged. My travel hack for not having to use the portable charger was this: every morning I would put my phone on low battery mode, and it never ran out! Voila!

-          Kindle – I really didn’t use this much on our trip either but a shoutout anyway because I do love this Kindle! I’m new to the Kindle game but I really love it!

-          Leave-in conditioner – I’m a broken record but I LOVE THIS STUFF! Necessary for those of us with tangles!

-          Travel shampoo and conditioner – I just had these laying around and had never used, but they were great!!!

-          Sunglasses – The best! So comfy! Look like Krewe!

-          TRVL tote – Hooks onto your roller bag!

-          Gingham cosmetic bag – This thing is huge, and I loved having it on the plane so I could put my tote in the overhead and have all the stuff I needed in here!

-          Lay-flat cosmetic bag – This cosmetic bag is so nice to have when traveling (or at home!) Lays flat on the counter so everything is easy to find!

Clothes

-          Brown crocodile purse – I’m telling you this purse looks so much more expensive than it is and holds way more stuff than you would think. A++

-          Pink platform tennis shoes – I love these shoes. I would not bring them on a trip like this again. They are not comfortable, and I knew that going in, but chose fashion over comfort anyway. Big mistake lol. SO CUTE and you should buy them but don’t walk 10 miles a day in them for 7 days straight!!!!

-          100% organic cotton sweater – This is the best sweater of all time!!!! It is beyond well-priced (under $40?!?!?!) but is super thick and works perfect over a nap dress! I sized down so the look was not so oversized.

-          Tuckernuck espadrilles – These are so cute and comfy, and I wore them a few nights to dinner and loved! Only a few sizes left but they’re on sale! They run way small. I am normally an 8.5 and had to get a 10!

-          Purple dress – I like this dress so much that I ordered the green too!

-          Studio McGee Dress – This felt so Italy to me, I had to bring it!

-          Hill House set – A true packing hack! I brought this set (shirt here, skirt here) + two different white t-shirts, and bam, you’ve got three looks in one!

-          Nap dresses – Always and forever!

The Taylor Dress and Bubble are back, and sizes are selling out! Grab yours here!!!

That’s it for now! I’ll be back next weekend with more fun! As always, feel free to respond to this email with any questions, comments, or shout-outs!!

XO,

Madison
